ISACA Singapore Chapter is organizing a “CGEIT Awareness Evening – A Case Study & Knowledge Sharing” presented by Mr. Andrew Little on Wednesday, September 30, 2009.

Venue:   National Library Board Building, Level 5, Imagination Room, 100 Victoria Street, Singapore 188064

Cost:       S$30 (ISACA/IIA Members) / S$45 (non-Members)

CPE:       2 hours
Dinner:   Buffet Dinner Included (no pork no lard)

Programme:

The CGEIT (Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT) Awareness Evening is designed to outline what the CGEIT certification is and who may be interested it taking it.

CGEIT is not like other certifications such as CISA and CISM and will require a level of experience as well as an ability to meet the core body of knowledge.

The evening will review the CGEIT Domains of:

·        IT Governance Framework (required)

·        Strategic Alignment

·        Value Delivery

·        Risk Management

·        Resource Management

·        Performance Measurement

The session will also explore why is it an important evolution for some ISACA professionals and the current path to certification. As this is a very new certification we felt it important to assist chapter members see how they may assess whether they may be able to study and take the exams and to outline the personal and business benefits for individual seeking to undertake the certification.

About the Speaker:

Andrew Little (ACA,CISA,CGEIT) is Managing Director of Capstone Asia Pacific a Technology Risk Consulting firm based in Sydney and Singapore. Andrew is a current board member of ISACA Singapore Branch and is a past board member and past president of Sydney Chapter of ISACA. He has over 24 years experience, working with Coopers and Lybrand, Principal at E&Y, Partner with Arthur Andersen and was the founding Managing Director for Protiviti in Sydney  before setting up Capstone Asia Pacific 3 years ago. Some of Andrew’s previous responsibilities include, Sydney Olympic Games,  external IT Audits for Centrelink, Dept of Defence , FACs  , Australian Customs and CSA, Dept of Health and Ageing and worked within the Australian National Audit Office to lead the IT Audit group for 18 months. Andrew has also audited many Health Sector projects and Health IS Departments over the past 15 years, covering Clinical, Laboratory ,Patient Administration, Electronic Health records , HRMIS, FMIS. He has worked with 2 state agencies delivering co-sourced IT and Performance audits and with the Singapore Ministry of Health.

Student Registration:

Full-time university or polytechnic students who are potential ISACA members and like to make connections with people who are currently working can register at the price of S$15. Limited seats are available for participants under student category.

During the online registration, please attach one of the following,

·        A current transcript with the name of the institution and name of the student.

·        A current class schedule provided by the university with the name of the institution and name of student.

 

Payment Method:

·        Cash – Cash payment is accepted at the registration counter on the day of the event.

·        Cheque – Please cross your cheque and make it payable to “Information Systems Audit & Control Association”. Kindly indicate your full name, contact and ISACA / IIA membership number on the back of the cheque. Mail your cheque to,
